“Ira first contacted us in the spring of 2002. Ira’s
story fit a familiar pattern, twenty years invested with a
major corporation, only to be in fear of losing his job through
corporate downsizing and layoffs. He was considering taking
a proactive position by starting a business part time while
he was still employed, and then growing it to the point of
being able to quit, or until the inevitable lay off occurred.”
Ira
“First
of all, I've got to thank you for introducing me to the concept
of handpiece repair. After spending 20 years in the telecommunications
industry, I really wasn't aware of the different types of
opportunities that existed for me to pursue when it became
time for me to switch careers.
When I began to consider making this type of change in my
life, there was a lot at stake. I needed to do a lot of fact-finding,
and soul searching. When it came to Handpiece Express, you
made the process easy and comfortable. Your talents and hard
work were very apparent. You succeeded in presenting information
about handpiece repair and business opportunities in an interesting
and easy-to-understand manner. You were always easy to get
in touch with and were very responsive to any request or question
I had.”
Glenn
“Ira did the necessary background research in his local
area, and then came to visit us for a Discovery Day in May
2002. I guess he liked what he saw because he made his deposit
that weekend to reserve a training slot in September. Ira
attended our National Conference that summer without ever
having gone through basic training.”
Ira
“With my background, the opportunity to learn about
Handpiece Express firsthand was vital to determining how I
was going to proceed. Being able to come out and spend time
with you during Discovery Day was a huge benefit. In addition
to the technical overview, seeing the types of activities
that help support the business was a big help. Coming from
a corporate environment, I was shielded from many of the functions
that take place routinely in a small business.”
Glenn
“Ira came out for training in September, went home and
finished preparing his work space, finalized his business
printing, and launched as a part time operator in November.
He got off to a great start following his initial mailing
and kept going from there. In June I found myself in Atlantic
City, NJ helping Donna & Ira put on their first dental
trade show!”
Ira
“The training you provided was exactly what I needed.
The hands-on training was excellent, but the fact that you
also covered marketing, bookkeeping, shipping, etc.., really
put things into perspective for me. The individual attention
given to me really made the difference. Sitting in a classroom
and taking notes or studying wouldn't work for me. I found
that in order to be successful in this endeavor, it will require
both desire and practical talent. The only way I was able
to see this was by working along side you at Handpiece Express
as part of my training. The information you presented was
important and is helping me achieve my family’s goals
and objectives.”
Glenn
“I enjoyed hearing regular updates from Ira about how
things were going. I could also sense a growing frustration
with trying to operate a growing business while working a
full time job. Finally, almost one year after beginning part
time, the inevitable happened and Ira was laid-off. I remember
how relieved he was that he was prepared for the situation
and was now ready to be a full time handpiece repair person.”
Ira
“Working with Handpiece Express has made the transition
into owning my own business very easy. The training was invaluable,
and the materials they provided were complete, easy to understand,
and easy to implement. It’s hard to express my gratitude
for all the help and support Glenn has provided along the
way. I highly recommend Handpiece Express to anyone wanting
to get started in the handpiece repair business.”
